She came to Hollywood with looks and talent, she was also a double threat!  She struggled at the beginning of her career until she landed one of the leads in a black sitcom (the series lasted 6 years).

She got caught up and lost her way.  She was at the clubs and parties indulging in cocaine.

The man of her dreams (who she married) was allegedly a drug dealer, she passed him off as a successful black businessman.  At first, she was his (television) fantasy, when the fantasy wore off, he hit the road.

Her divorce was devastating and her behavior became erratic and unpredictable.  She started trading sex for crack-with dope boys.

She has hit rock bottom.

She’s so damaged, she avoids family, friends and fans.

She needs an intervention.

  4. I would say Maia Campbell…She was one of the leads in the LL Cool J show. And she also had gotten married and had a child and went bonkers on crack and prostitution. I’ve seen the vids of her on youtube and other media outlets…

I know she’s a grown up but she needs someone to take her somewhere even if it’s by force because I’d hate to read she’s missing then later her body was found. People with issues like hers need to have someone to watch over them and I don’t mean those fools in the youtube videos because they don;t mean her any good their having fun making fun of her

  15. The only black sitcom that lasted 6 years that Im coming up with is A Different World. Family Matters has a girl thats outta control now but that one lasted 9 years. I havent heard of any drug issues w Jasmine Guy…. IDK?

  16. I first thought Vivica. She did a sitcom with Gladys Knight, Duane Martin and was it Morris Chestnut? I think it launched Duane Martin’s career. Up All Night, or something like that. And we know she went off the deep end over 50 Cent. I doubt the show lasted 6 yrs. Probably not 6 months.

    Internet says Maia’s role on L.L.’s show lasted 3 yrs, not 6.

  20. Jasmine was so pretty when she hit the scene, what the hell happened? She looks so old and dazed. Heard she froze on the Broadway stage and had to be rushed to the hospital. I guess Stephanie bounced before Hollywood turned her out.

Someone was not paying income taxes which is hard to do on a drug dealer’s income…Does anybody know what kind of work he was doing as a successful black businessman…My Foot!!!…This sounds like her to me with her background…She is more than likely ashamed of herself for marrying this loser.

    • Heard he’s from Memphis. Don’t know his profession. He probably didn’t have much of one. In an old interview I saw she said she was foolish

  26. I hope this is not Jasmine Guy. Someone mention Mia Campbell that poor baby girl I saw her on youtube and it’s the saddest thing to see that those around her rather then getting her help they tape her laugh at her at her lowest while she’s having one of her episodes.

  27. These Hollywood ‘success’ stories should make a lot of young people change their minds about show business. Too many of these kids
    fall into the same trap.

    Its sad to hear of a child trying to support the entire family
    on a career as uncertain as show business.
    Jamie Foxworth’s life story was especially heartbreaking to watch.

      It’s a big weight for a child to carry to take care of the entire family. Which is why they end up on drugs, drinking and ending up in jail, rehab then dead. What Gary Coleman’s parents did to him was messed up til the day he died he was not having anything more to do with them

      Other former child actor and actress will tell the same story of how someone in their family put pressure on them to work more to bring in more money and it caused them to resent mom, dad uncle,aunt whomever was in charge of them as they were growing up

      The actor who played Dennis the Mence said he used to admire the kids in the creepy movie “Children of The Corn” because those weird looking kids how such power of killing adults. He siad his aunt and uncle was the ones on the set of Dennis the Mence and they wer horrible people. If he didn’t get his lines right they’d pull him aside and tell him if he messed up again he was going to be sorry when they get him home.

      Danny Bondaduce said even thought his daddy was a producer he was jealous of him because he brough in more money from when he was on The Partridge Family

  29. Poor Maia Campbell was my first and only guess. I still remember the vid on another site with her legs spread just a wide open as you please, and some sick fcuks taping her and laughing at her. She was acting like a two dollar crack whore.
    I don’t even want to talk about it. I recently saw her (MC) on one of these chitlin circuit plays on Netflix. She is still a great looking girl but you can tell she been through hell. Anyways, since she was notted I can’t think of anyone else.
    I can’t see jasmine Guy as a guess, to me she was on TV too much so I think people would have noticed if she was using.

    @Soulsinger…….I know people can spend their money anyway they want but when you have climbed out of near impovished conditions you should be more conscience about how you spend your money. The only way I would be caught buying million dollar champagne is if my money went back 4 or 5 generations. “New money” needs to make sure they have something to pass on………

          Johnny Newman was sentenced to 60 Days in jail and fined $500 dollars for assaulting his wife, actress Dawnn Lewis (Hangin With Mr. Cooper, A Different World). Lewis said in a emergency-protection order that Newman attacked her in their home by grabbing her by the throat and dragging her down a flight of stairs by her legs while threatening to kill her.

It is the capital of organized labor……..if Romney can put forth a plan that sounds even a little credible….he may win….

        • The 999 plan is garbage. Remeber this will be a federal tax so some of use will be paying 9% sales tax on top of the any other state and local sales taxs. So you may end up paying almost 18% sales tax on a loaf a bread in some states almost 25%

          • Hi Missyutwo……..the plan will have to be tweeked….no sales tax on food. It is not perfect but like one economist said it may be worth looking into because everything else has not worked. Sales taxes can be imposed immediately but overhaul of the tax code could take years. We dont have years to wait, we owe the Chinese over $3 trillion dollars and it grows everyday.

            Paying 25 cent tax on a loaf of bread is a bit much but at the same time if you are buying a high ticket item like a yacht or private jet you are paying too……there will be no more tax loopholes for those types of items…………

    Myra your story on Amelia Dyer really intrigued me!
    I did some research on her. She was not born in poverty her father was a master shoemaker, her mother had a mental disorder(which she later died from) so Dyer would fake being crazy if she was questioned.
    She became a nurse, which was ok money but was a very hard job in her time.
    This is what blew me away…since the Jack the Ripper murders were going down during her time, she was also looked at as a suspect! The authorities thought the prostitutes might have been results of botched abortions performed by Dyer.

    • Hi Secret…..got to disagree with you. I know ALOT of black people who voted for Obama because he was black. Then when they found out his mother was white they wanted to take their vote back. The problem people have with Cain is that he is not sugar coating his message to black america. I appreciate the fact that he stated publicly what intellectuals have been saying privately: the Democratic Party has brainwashed black america. How can this be said…easy. In the 1970′s the Democratic controlled Congress passed legistlation that created AFDC. Under these provisions, income restrictions were placed so you could not get assistance unless you met the requirements. For black people it meant that the father left the home so the family could get cash, food and medical insurance. It is a condition from which our community has never fully recovered. Fast forward to the 1990′s when Republican controlled Congress restructured the AFDC programs requiring that recipients work or go to college in order to collect benefits. Part of this legistlation made states crack down on dead beat parents. The result: a lot of single black women became college graduates and homeowners. They and their families went from impovished conditions to middle class. So the argument can be made.

      Black people need to stop referring to other blacks as “sell outs” when they do not ascribe to the “ghetto fabulous” mentality. We should also not get mad when people are vocal of their disappointment of the President. I have never understood why black people are so patient when it comes to black politicians. Many of us live in cities with black mayors where crime rates, unemployment and hopelessness are off the charts but we go to the polls and constantly re-elect them. For me it doesnt matter what your race is…..if you are not effective then you have to go…..

There is no way I would have sat around and let my husband torture my family. The Debarge children may be conflicted because their abuser was their father. I would have thought Bobby’s death would have deterred them from using. This is so, so , so sad………

It’s too bad that after the boys reached a certain age they stood up to the father whenhe tried pushing them around( I’m sorry but I believe in some cases such as this kids MIGHT just have to raise his or her hand to the parent to protect themself) And with the things I’ve heard Papa Debrage did to his kids the older boys should have whooped a it on him even if they had to wait til he went to sleep

          What he did to Bunny Mama Debrage should have beat him within a inch of his life even if it meant she spend the night in lockup

    • Bunny and Randy look like twins. Both look like they haven’t slept Randy could pass for the guy you see hanging out on the corner always asking for a cigerette.

      Judge Judy was right when she said beauty fades because they all look like just shells of themself

      I do however feel for them because they are so talented and they are victims of abuse from their father and now of drugs. I wonder if Bunny ever asked her mom why didn’t she stop that daddy of molesting her

    • I guess I can understand El leaving if leaving meant he was staging an intervention and he said to them I LOVE YOU BUT HEY!!! UNTIL ALL OF YOU GET HELP I’M CUTTING OFF ANY AND ALL CONTACTS WITH YOU I’LL PRAY FOR YOU BUT I CAN’T STAND BY AND WATCH YOU ALL DO THIS TO YOURSELF AND END UP LIKE BOBBY!       I thought by now they had gotten themself together. The upside is they admit they have a problem and like the lady Dr said it’s easy to get off drugs the real problem is staying off drugs.

      DAMN! messing around with drugs and drinking can take it’s tolls on a persons looks. They look like they’ve been up for days without sleep. Bunny’s daughter is pretty and she a strong young lady to have forgiven Bunny for the things she put her through
