RICHARD
PRYOR'S PATTY HEARST ALBUM:
In the
1970's, comedian Richard Pryor came out with a album negatively based on the
kidnapping of heiress Patty Hearst. The album was extremely derogatory
and personally attacked Hearst. Pryor called her a slew of 'vile' names
and made fun of her situation.
When Pryor
came to the bay area (where Hearst was based) to promote the album by during
a concert. Allegedly, he was met at the airport by two very large security
men from the Hearst empire and he was instructed to cancel the show and return
to Los Angeles.
The show
was cancelled and Pryor returned to Los Angeles, shortly after this incident,
the album disappeared from record stores.
