THE MURDER OF DENISE NICHOLAS' SISTER:

Actress Denise Nicholas' (In The Heat Of The Night & Room 222) sister, Michelle Burgen was murdered, execution style in the 70's.  Burgen was a Assistant Editor at Ebony Magazine and was rumored to freelance as an investigative reporter.

Allegedly, she was working on a big story and planning to meet a source.  Instead, the 26-year old newswoman was found dead in a locked rental car, in a secluded parking lot at New York's LaGuardia Airport with a single bullet wound behind her left ear. Execution style, the sign of an "professional hit."

Her purse and jewelry were left, untouched.

Her murder has never been solved despite the family offering a $5,000 reward.
