Before the Black American Express Card was discontinued (cardholders can still make purchases) you could not apply for this card, you had to be selected to receive this card, criteria: Make purchases amounting to $100,000 or more on an annual basis.  This card has no limit, you can purchase a private island or a lear jet on this card and a security guard delivers it to your residence where you sign for it. This card was designed for the super wealthy. Jay-Z, P. Diddy, Russell Simmons, Damon Dash and Kanye West are cardholders.  When these cards were being issued, American Express was extremely secretive regarding the black AMEX.

Rap mogul Jay-Z and music executive Steve Stoute own Maybach cars, the most exclusive car in the world.  The Maybach is priced at: $350,000 dollars and their are only $3,000 in the world.  Jay-Z's Maybach is a limousine with curtains.  Other owners outside the hip-hop arena are Madonna, Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez.  When P. Diddy isn't being chauffered around in a limo, he drives a Rolls-Royce.  Jermaine Dupri also has a Rolls Royce.  Rap producer Timbaland is a connoisseur of Lamborghini's and Missy Elliott owns Lamborghini's and Ferrari's. Missy and Timbaland were known for ordering their cars out of the "Robb Report" classifieds, a magazine for millionaires and billionaires, they made it fashionable.  Missy had her exotic cars shipped to her from all over the world.  Usher is a Porsche and Navigator man, he likes to roll on Sprewells in the ATL.

Vertu cell phones are the most expensive cell phone in the world with international worldwide access.  Jay-Z and Beyonce made them popular.  They are trimmed in solid gold and are priced at $20,000. 

When P. Diddy isn't lounging on his estate in the Hamptons or his mansion in Florida or his residence in New York, he is in St. Tropez aboard his yacht.  Diddy also has a yacht docked in Miami.  Jay-Z has a yacht docked in St. Tropez where he relaxes when he isn't partying in Monte Carlo.  Usher also has access to a yacht when he's in Miami.

P. Diddy, Russell & Kimora Simmons, Jay-Z and Beyonce only travel by private jet to destinations such as Europe for shopping sprees or to Spain to watch the bullfights.

It don't mean a thang unless you got that bling: Jacob The Jeweler has supplied the hip-hop elite with bling since the inception of hip-hop.  That may be changing since rappers are launching their own lines of jewelry.  Jay-Z has a high-end watch line and 50 Cent and G-Unit offer medallions and chains through their line.
